Tobi
Tobi Keitmeier has experience in different professions that range from TV production and managment, massage therapy, to carpentry, boat refinishing and detailing. He is originally from Germany where he was born and raised and gained his college education. He went to school for three years for carpentry and through his hard work and his connections, he was able to work himself up the ladder in the TV industry. He ultimately became the Head of Product Management of MTV Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Within the 12 years of experience in this field, his responsibility varied from working with HR, budgeting, and training and leading his production team. Toby has always had a passion for owning his own business, and prior to leaving Germany, he had started and ran a successful café and catering service at MTV Germany as well as a coffee shop in Berlin.
Tobi came to America and began working in the marine industry. He was employed in Mamaroneck NY at Director Shipyard which he specialized in varnishing, painting, and staining interior and exterior wood work. After gaining his experience, he was then sub-contracted by Dutch Wharf Boat Yard in Branford CT and specialized on varnishing and painting high end wooden boats. He currently has nine years of experience at Nautical Details in supervising, managing, and training the refinishing, painting and wood working division. He has helped and assisted Nautical Details maintain a high level of quality and consistency while being sub-contracted by Norwalk Cove Marina in their spring, summer and fall maintenance service requests. On the side of his passion for the marine industry, he also is a certified massage therapist and has training in cranial sacral therapy.
His vision at Nautical Details is to provide, teach, and experience an environmentally friendly marina. His heart is in preserving water and using fewer chemicals because he wants to leave a clean legacy for future generations of boaters to take care of our waters and preserve the beauty of our planet.
